Greening goals

The WBNA is working towards A Greener Future in South Boston. We do this by:

• Pursuing initiatives to clean up hazardous waste and neglected sites in our neighborhood.

• Champion beautification & sustainment projects throughout our neighborhood

  • Planting and maintaining trees, shrubs, flowers

  • Community Garden at A Street: Kids Grow Garden

  • Rooftop Gardens

  • Urban Beekeeping

• Support Developers in their efforts to upgrade existing buildings and build new buildings to achieve maximum energy efficiency

  • Target LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Certification at the Platinum level

  • Promote projects that meet power demands through clean, renewable and zero-emission energy sources
